Jones Bros. Cupcakes: Recipe for brand new brand
The Jones brothers saw an opportunity to launch a high-end cupcake restaurant in Omaha, like the ones they’d seen in major market cities—only better.
We needed to get up to speed with the architectural team to support their efforts and ensure our work aligned with theirs and the Jones brothers
The working name was Omaha Cupcake Factory, but as the concept evolved the Jones brothers thought the name needed to evolve as well. We lead them through our collaborative naming process that includes vetting and outside testing before selecting Jones Bros Cupcake, which sounds so obvious, but works so well.
TEAMWORK CREATES BRAND ALIGNMENT
A lot of our business begins with a referral—that’s how we became aquainted with the Jones brothers. They had already retained Leo A Daly, a respected international architecture firm to design their restaurant in one of the regions most dynamic new urban developments and Daly recommended they talk to us.
The Leo A Daly team created a unique environment that set the table for the experiencial branded elements we designed to engage JBC’s customers.

Jones Bros.extensive brand toolkit includes twin-baker icons designed to provide a fun and fuctional vehicle to unify their ever expanding specialities. The primary logo includes variations that are designed to align with the specific needs of each application, without sacrificing the integrety of the brand.
We put the baker twins to work on the entry sign of the new West Omaha restaurant to delight the customers in a family-friendly sububan setting.

Our efforts creative were recognized as well, by the American Advertising Federation 9th District Addys, Communication Arts magazine and Graphis, the premier international publication of the graphic industry.
